I’ve been an Oiler for over 60 years. I was coached as a child, and later in life spent hundreds of hours watching coaches from the stands while cheering on our team.
Over the years I’ve loved coaches, supported them and considered many of them friends.
I’ve seen good ones, not so good ones… and I’ve seen a few rare ones.
Coach Kara Skinner is one of those rare ones. She’s the kind of coach her players will one day look back on and realize she didn’t just teach them how to play the game, she taught them how to face life with strength, discipline, and heart.
Long after the scoreboard fades, Coach Kara Skinner’s impact will remain.
